The Graven Hill Community Garden has been getting some welcome attention in the local press this week.
Several local publications have reported on the project and the recent planting activities taking place at the garden beside Graven Hill Primary School. The coverage highlights how residents, volunteers and schoolchildren have been coming together to begin growing food and building a shared space for the community.
It’s great to see the project gaining wider interest. What started as an idea from a small group of residents is steadily becoming a real place where people can meet, learn and work side by side outdoors.
The articles focus on the first planting activities at the garden and the involvement of the school, showing how the space is already being used for learning and hands-on gardening. The aim of the project is to create a welcoming place where people of all ages - from school pupils to retirees - can grow food, learn new skills and spend time together in nature.
We’re very grateful to everyone who has helped make this possible so far - from volunteers and partner organisations to the school and local supporters.

It’s encouraging to see the garden beginning to appear on the local news radar - and hopefully this is just the start!
